At 10:30 am on September 27, 2023, Wang Tianlai, Vice Dean of School of Computer and Information Technology of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), and Huang Suiyao, Vice Dean of School of Communication and Creative Industries of TAR UMT, visited GZUC. More than 180 people participated in the relevant exchange activities, including representatives of teachers and students, leaders in charge of the Department of Teachers Affairs, the Office of Scientific Research, Computer and Information Engineering College, the College of Culture, Art and Media, and the School of International Education.

Wang Tianlai, Vice Dean of School of Computer and Information Technology of TAR UMT, first gave a special lecture on the theme of "Blockchain and its Application", which mainly focused on "what is blockchain", "application of blockchain", "supply chain management" and "introduction of blockchain project", so that teachers and students of GZUC can have a more systematic understanding of blockchain and its application.

At the subsequent symposium, Wen Daqiang, Vice President of GZUC, first expressed a warm welcome to the guests. He said that this symposium was the first face-to-face meeting between the leaders of the schools of the two universities after the presidents of the two universities signed the memorandum of inter-university cooperation during the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. GZUC and TAR UMT both have advantages in educational cooperation. It is hoped that this meeting can further strengthen the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the academic and scientific research fields such as computer information, art and media so as to truly implement the cooperation.

The guests from TAR UMT said that they were surprised by the rapid development of Guizhou province and praised the teachers and students of GZUC. TAR UMT and GZUC have much more room for cooperation in the construction of computer and design majors, talent training directions and teaching concepts. They hope that in the future cooperation, more detailed plans can be formulated for teacher exchange visits, student exchanges, project application and other educational cooperation fields in order to lay a solid foundation for the next exchanges and visits.

The leaders of relevant schools of the two sides respectively had in-depth discussions on teacher visits, student exchanges, research project application, experimental platform, research platform construction, laboratory sharing and other aspects. Both sides said that they could develop a lot of cooperation projects, which would help improve the practical ability of teachers and students of both sides and the quality of international projects.

In the final summary, Wen Daqiang, Vice President of GZUC, advised the Department of Teachers Affairs to formulate work plans related to exchange visits of our teachers and students as soon as possible, and he asked the School of International Education to continue developing the application of new professional projects and jointly promote teacher exchange activities between the two universities.

After the meeting, the guests visited the Computer and Information Engineering College and the College of Culture, Art and Media of GZUC respectively to further discuss the following specific cooperation and exchanges.

This exchange has played a good role in promoting the next step of educational cooperation between TAR UMT and GZUC, and has laid a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the signing of cooperation memorandum between the two universities.
